Batting is not included and the various options we stock, will be charged per meter (we don’t currently carry 100% polyester, but will use it if you supply it.):

* Hobbs – Heirloom Cotton 100% Natural Cotton; | CAD 20 |
Additional services
Other services that we can provide, but that are not included, are:
- Pressing your quilt.
- Sewing backing.
- Squaring your quilt (before or after quilting).
- Shipping your quilt back to you via Canada Post (or any other courier preferred by you). This will be priced at cost.
- Binding: making the binding, stitching it on the top of the quilt and hand-sewing it on the back.
The services listed above will be billed at an hourly rate of CAD 50.00, but only after consulting first with you. The same goes for any other issue we may come across while quilting, so your invoice will never have surprise charges.
The process:
- To start the process of quilting your quilt, we measure your quilt and the backing (and batting if applicable) directly after receiving them. we will also check if there is anything else that needs to be done to get your quilt ready for the longarm frame. E.g. ironing, squaring, trimming threads at the back etc.
- We will send you a quote for the scope of the work, the total pricing and expected planning. If you do not have a preferred E2E design for me, we’ll choose 2 or 3 E2E designs we think will work great for your quilt, or -in case you gave us your preferred pattern- will confirm the purchase of that pattern.
- After your agreement, we will go ahead with the preparations and then load the quilt on the longarm frame. If anything unexpected happens, we will get in touch with you so you can make the decision on how to proceed.
- Quilting will be done as agreed, and once your quilt is finished, we will email you to make an appointment for pick up. This email will have the invoice attached and we do expect payment before you take the quilt home with you.
